Product quality, but at the same time respect for the environment and territory: OFI has also fully obtained the UNI EN ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Certification.
OFI also adheres to the international voluntary “Responsible Care” program, which oversees the implementation of principles and behaviors regarding employee health and safety and environmental protection.
The commitment also involves the disclosure of the results achieved towards continuous, significant and tangible improvement.

All company functions are directly involved in 4 priority areas:
- Employee health and safety. We ensure the protection of employees with an integrated approach that includes: work organization; safety management; health protection from hazardous substances; modern industrial procedures.
- Environmental Protection. We act “pro-actively” to meet environmental standards, using eco-compatible products and processes, with adequate environmental management systems and effective projects to reduce emissions and waste.
- Process safety. We operate in a preventive, systematic and exhaustive manner: for each chemical plant the risks deriving from its activity are identified, evaluated, eliminated or reduced, ensuring compliance with safety standards in construction and maintenance, and the possibility of preventing or tolerating errors.
- “Product stewardship” or Responsible Product Management. We act in compliance with safety, health and the environment, throughout the product life cycle: from design to post marketing surveillance up to eventual disposal.
Environmental Hygiene: The complete production cycle and related chemical-physical and microbiological control processes on the semi-finished product take place within OFI before filling and packaging. The hygienic-environmental aspects represent one of the most rigorous items of the company policy. The production area has a centralized air conditioning and ultrafiltration system in class 100,000 and, in addition, two clean rooms in class 1,000 equipped with a laminar flow air ultrafiltration system to perform sterile processes.
Water as a Strategic Resource: Water without impurities is an indispensable condition for OFI.
The production standards benefit from a new reverse osmosis system for the production of ultra-pure water and a technologically advanced system for water purification, whose constancy of purity is guaranteed by a dedicated emergency system in permanent connection.
